Blue-green and white murrine vase, “Spring Has Sprung”

Handblown glass vase featuring spiral white vetroglyphs (graphic marks made of glass) created from white twist murrine (thin disks of patterned glass), over a teal and light green background color pattern. 

The vase is a flattened oval form. This vase was juried into the 2024 Glass National exhibition. This vase is made by hand and is one of a kind. Because this is hand-blown, there are small bubbles and tool marks present in the piece. These are artifacts of the process and are not considered flaws in the product. This vase is a piece of art and is signed and dated by the artist. And it it a practical object as well, suitable for use every day. 

IMPORTANT: This piece is currently on consignment to the Skaneateles Artisans gallery in Skaneateles, New York (in the Finger Lakes). It may be purchased here online, but will be shipped from the gallery, rather than from my studio. A portion of the proceeds will go to the gallery, consistent with my consignment contract with them. 

Hand washing strongly recommended.
